It might be really confusing to you to be told to have no contact with your ex in order to get your ex back. You just know in your heart that you HAVE to call your ex to apologize for the awful things you said during that argument. How are you supposed to do this if you are not seeing or speaking to your ex at all?

The reason why you are being told to not have any contact with your ex, is because of the bad feelings that are between the two of you at the moment. Absolute fury is what you feel towards each other, not to mention the pain that was caused by those nasty things that you said to each other.

If you have any contact with each other at this point in time, only one thing will happen – another major argument. The row you had that caused the break up is still too fresh in your minds – speaking to each other now will only refuel the fury that you have inside you, and you will not get your ex back.

However, if you and your ex take some time to work through those painful and angry feelings before making contact with each other, you will be more approachable. This means that there will be less risk of another argument flaring up and aggravating the situation.

When you get together to talk things over, you both need to be in a good mood – a better frame of mind than you are right now. If you are feeling happy and positive, and can talk to each other in a relaxed way, you have a much better chance to get your ex back.

Do whatever you can to take your mind off the break up, and the fact that you and your ex said those nasty things to each other. Make sure that the activities you do every day are happy and positive. This will eventually have you feeling the same way as well.
