According to the latest leaks, Dishonored developer Arkane Studios will announce its next game at The Game Awards 2023 on December 7. Arkane has built a reputation for itself as a top developer of first-person shooter games, best known for its work on the Dishonored series but also recognized for popular games like the 2017 Prey game and 2021’s critically-acclaimed time-bending FPS Deathloop.

Arkane’s most recent game is 2023’s Redfall, which fell way short of expectations. Redfall reviews were largely negative, and the game was abandoned by players almost as soon as it came out. Arkane will be looking to bounce back from this serious misstep with its next project, though some fans may be surprised to learn that the studio’s next game is apparently going to be announced as early as December 7.

This is according to leaker Nate the Hate, who believes Arkane’s next game will be announced at The Game Awards, which will take place on December 7 at 4:30pm PT. “Arkane will announce a brand-new game at The Game Awards,” Nate the Hate said in a recent podcast. Nate the Hate doesn’t know what the project is, so fans will have to tune in to the event to see if the announcement takes place, and if so, what exactly is next for Arkane.

The safest bet is that Arkane’s next game is Dishonored 3, a title that was previously leaked thanks to Microsoft’s court battle with the FTC. According to those leaked documents, Dishonored 3 is aiming for a fiscal year 2024 release. It seems unlikely that it will meet that window, but it is easy to believe that the game is still the next project from Arkane Studios and could very well be announced at The Game Awards this year.

It’s also possible Arkane’s next game is a brand-new IP or a new entry in a different Bethesda-owned franchise, like Wolfenstein. It could even be the leaked Doom: Year Zero project.
