Why Leaders Serve The Greater GOOD?

You aren’t going to become a real leader, unless/ until, you emphasize, and prioritize, serving the greater GOOD! True leadership is not about someone’s personal/ political agenda, and/ or, self – interest, but, rather, must be, about providing the finest, possible direction, and service, to those, you serve and represent! Why are you leading, if you don’t have the discipline and commitment, needed, to proceed, with the level of endurance, to make a difference, for the better? With that in mind, this article will attempt to, briefly, consider, examine, review, and discuss, using the mnemonic approach, what this means and represents, and why it’s such an essential, significant consideration, and necessity.

1. Growth; generate goodwill; common good; greatness; guiding: Organizations must, consistently, undergo, consistent growth, or they won’t remain sufficiently, relevant and sustainable! In order to achieve the finest goals, and priorities, a leader must fully consider, and seek to generate goodwill, for the common good! Instead of settling for good – enough, great leaders settle for nothing, less than, relevant, absolute greatness, and excellence! After all, one is only, truly, leading, when he takes the responsibility of guiding others, seriously!

2. Options; opportunities: Fully considering a variety of options, with an open – mind, in order to be ready, to take advantage of the finest opportunities! When one is prepared, his group, generally, benefits!

3. Opinions; optimize; organize: A leader must be able, to proceed, with the ability, to differentiate between, his personal opinions, and facts! While everyone is entitled to his own opinion, he isn’t entitled to changing reality (facts)! One’s goal, and objective, should be to optimize the possibilities, of the group, and constituents, he serves and represents. He must be capable of organizing constituents, for the common – good, in order to make a difference for the better, instead of merely, change, for change – sake!

4. Delve deeply; deliver; discover; destiny: When someone takes his position, and the associated, responsibility, seriously, he must delve deeply, in order to fully recognize the strengths, as well as weaknesses, and use each, appropriately! It’s not enough, to, merely, ponder, wonder, and question, but, rather, a real leader must under – promise, and over – deliver! Will you be able to discover, the best way to proceed? Can you become the master, of your own destiny, and help determine the best fate, for the group, you represent?

Real leaders must serve the greater GOOD! Are you, up to, the task?
