Tanzania Africa

It is a big, beautiful and exciting country. Its beauty cannot be found anywhere else. It has a diverse natural resource range and it hosts Africa’s highest mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro. It also has Africa’s deepest lake, Lake Tanganyika, and the world’s second largest lake, Lake Victoria. The source of the Nile, Africa’s longest river is here, Lake Victoria. It has the most famous game parks in the world. These include the Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti, Lake Manyara and the less frequented Selous, Ruaha, Mikumi, and Gombe.

About a quarter of the whole country has been reserved for wildlife. This is a very diverse and large area just for this purpose. This land has been turned into game parks and national parks. The remains of the early man are also found here in the Olduvai Gorge near Ngorongoro. These remains are dated some 3.5m years ago. Tanzania has a coastline that is 800km long. It has famous islands such as Pemba, Zanzibar and Mafia. These host very luxurious beaches.

Tanzania helps one get the real feeling of the African jungle life. Just spending time in the vast game reserves will give you a thrill you cannot experience anywhere else. If you visit in the months of June to August, you will be able to catch the excitement in the Serengeti as you watch zebras and wildebeest migrate to the Masai Mara in Kenya. The excitement is contagious as you watch the beasts fight for their life in the river as thousands drown and others are killed by crocodiles, lions and hyenas that take advantage of the situation.
