The Razorback, Dead-On and Shot King Sisal Dart Boards

I’ve talked about the gratification of owning an electronic dart board, but in doing so I have failed to sing the praises of the sisal dart board. The sisal board is designed to be played with steel tip darts. Early renditions of this board were made of hogs hair or cork. This type of board is made up of natural rope fiber that is compressed under pressure and secured with a steel band. Then the fiber is sanded down and stained with colors or images. With the boards being bound so tightly they will stay functional for a long time to come bringing your family and friends years of enjoyment throwing darts. There are three boards I would like to talk about the Razorback, Dead-On and Shot King. Each of these boards are the standard 18″ x 1 1/2″ and weigh just over 12 lbs. The quality construction of all three of these boards is outstanding and will withstand any assault with darts you can launch at it.

The sisal fibers on these dart boards make them self-healing so game after game on matter how much you thrash it your board will continue to look sharp. Each of the boards have a movable number ring, known as a spider, that also extends the life of your board. So if your triple twenty starts to take a little beating you can move the number ring to another position. The sisal boards are for every kind of player and is perfect for competition or fun. So if you are a beginner or an expert when you step up to the hockey and bombard the board with masterfully launched throws you can rest assured you are playing on the highest quality boards. All three of these boards come with staple free bulls eye and thin wire segment dividers that allow for fewer bounce-outs. The Razorback features knife blade thin wires while the Dead-On features diamond shaped wires that help make every shot count and keep the game going bounce-out free while you club the competition. Each board comes with a game manual and mounting hardware.

With a sisal board you should have a dart board cabinet because everyone misses once in a while and you will want to protect your walls from getting trashed. The cabinets available today look great and will be a welcome addition to your family or game room. They are constructed of fine quality oak and mahogany while coming in a variety of designs. The cabinet will keep the board hidden when not in use and leave the room looking neat and tidy.
