The Guru Mantra to Losing Weight

Body fat is inalienably linked to self image. It has been shown in various studies that a possessing a good looking body enhances self esteem. However for the sad majority of the people feeling good about their bodies is a distant dream.

It is estimated that there are nearly 30% of the adult population in US is obese. Now we all would like to look like the super hot model in MTV, but what does it take to achieve this? It will take a lot of effort, commitment and a positive attitude towards your body.

Having a positive approach towards your body is vital to your self esteem. Most of us have a problem with admitting that we are overweight. We try to put away the inevitable by ignoring the slowing creeping weight. Before we realise we have been saddled with maybe 20 extra pounds. So first and foremost you will need to step up in the open and accept that you have a weight problem.

Most people fail to lose weight primarily because of lack of focus. We are afraid of the initial setbacks and jeers which we are bound to face on the ardours route to losing weight. Many times weight loss fails due to the pessimistic attitude gained out of past experience with weight loss programs. But I think mostly we fail because we are too lazy to get out of our couches and make the move. I mean you really cannot lose weight you don’t make an attempt to lose it!

The key to achieving weight loss is to make you a stakeholder of this kind of progressive activity. You must stick to the diet system and program your mind to “hold” the idea of having a new lifestyle in order to begin a new chapter of your life. The weight loss is not about the rigid physical activities, it’s about driving your emotional force.

The first steps to losing weigh begin with you. You will need to build within yourself that burning desire to achieve the goal. Once you have reflected upon and sorted out your inner conflicts all impediments in your way will clear up. Just like that!!!

So remember the way the losing weight begins with you. This is no miraculous weight loss program. This program is all about you. This is about you respecting your body. This is the belief bore out of strong commitment that you have the courage and the power to succeed!
