Open your Bible to 2 Corinthians 5:17 it says… Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. Go ahead and highlight that scripture.

We live in a world that desperately needs positive, influences such as yours. As a believer who has been saved by a risen Christ. You know how Jesus has touched your heart and changed your life. You see, when you decided to walk in the foot steps of the Lord, that meant you agreed to be a disciple seven days a week.

But I want you to know that the devil is working around the clock in an attempt to rearrange your priorities. How will he try to do it? He will tell you lies! He also will get you to doubt! Why? Because lies and doubt are some of the most important tools that the devil uses to achieve his objectives. The evil one, the devil, who wants to discourage you and he’ll make you feel like you don’t have what it takes to be of any worth to God.

The Word says you’re a new creation! The old has passed away! The new has come! You are now free from the power of darkness. You now walk by the Word into kingdom of light. You now accept Jesus as the authority of your life and you obey Him. You now build your spiritual house upon the rock that cannot be moved. You see, God’s spiritual scriptures are not choices, they are rules for living for Him.

The devil will keep reminding you of your past and he’ll lie to you over and over again, telling you about your sins of weakness to keep you stuck in life. This is not the way to live the higher life that God has prepared for you. Hallelujah, you have a whole new life with Jesus Christ to look forward to, starting right now!

God wants you to stay focused on Him and His great plan for the new you. God’s Word and His Son have the power to change and turn your life around in a world filled with misleading messages. But as long as you’re on the battlefield of this world, God can give you victory through Jesus.

Don’t let the lies of the devil stop you! As you read God’s Word, put what you’ve learned into practice. I want you to know that the devil will keep bringing up the old you. He’s trying to confuse you! The devil will say negative things about the new you. But you must develop staying power! You need to stick it out, staying with God’s Word for you.

It’s a lifetime pursuit of becoming more like Jesus! Your new life is about the new you! But the devil wants you to complain and have a negative attitude about dedicating your life to God. But the new you is fully dedicated and sold out to Jesus. You’re a Word person! You see, one of the reasons you learn the Word is so you can defeat the devil with it. Like Jesus did!

It’s an honor to give your life to the Lord! But the devil will try to convince you that other things are more important than that. But Jesus wants you to know you’re a new creation through Him! He wants to stir you up in spiritual truth! Now, raise up your hands and say, “the old me has passed away, I have a new identity in Jesus”.
