Sir Edwin Arnold, an English poet best described Taj Mahal as “Not a piece of architecture, as other buildings are, but the proud passions of an emperor’s love wrought in living stones.” Built during the 16th and the 18th century, this epitome is crowning jewel to Indo-Islamic architectural style. It stands on the bank of river Yamuna in Agra, Uttar Pradesh and is one of the highly visited tourist destination in India.

Taj Mahal describes the deep love of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his wife Mumtaz Mahal. With following his beloved wish list, he began constructing this masterpiece in 1631.
