Living for Your Earth Life or Soul Life

When a person actually considers it, life makes no sense. To what end? Life is unbalanced, unfair and many times unrewarding. We live our whole lives not knowing why we are here. There are so many deep thinkers who have pondered this since time began and to no definitive end. I have no answer either other than the only thing that makes sense is we live this life earning points after we die.

If this isn’t the case then there is no reason for living. Too often we suffer too much, never get what we want and are faced with more disappointments than not. Yes, there are priceless times when life comes together and we get rewarded for our efforts, when things go our way, when we finally win or have an “ah-ah” moment.

We do have choices and contribute to some of our hardships but it’s not always what you do but what happens to you. One can do all the right things and never have that moment or moments when life says good job, here’s your reward. We have hundreds of adages to help us cope with life but what happens when you really work hard, play fair, do more right than wrong and life just doesn’t reward you? You’ve lived in a state of invisible mediocrity. Do you keep trying when you will never succeed as life continues to ignore you? In the movies the kid with their nose pressed against the store window gets the toy, not so in real life. The hard work that goes ignored, never appreciated or honored. The endless efforts that never culminates in a win. Some people seem to go through life where it’s not horrible but all efforts seem to just reward you with surviving or getting essentials never the brass ring.

I have come up with a name for this I am calling “Psychagnoisetic” taken from Greek meaning “life ignores.” No, I have no medical degrees but I truly believe this explains things for those people who do all the right things and life never rewards them; this makes it seem harder each time to do the right thing.

I don’t believe in luck because then I would have to believe, not only in good luck but bad luck too. Then I would further have to consider rewards or punishments and what are the basis for how these get doled out? And since we, or at least me, is unclear about what is truly bad or truly good for that matter. Stop. Don’t scoff at this statement so quickly, as we each view things in varying degrees and many of us rationalize sin. We reason what is okay to do to survive even if it goes against what we “actually’ believe or are taught. We don’t all see sin the same way nor do we see what merits “good” the same either. Humans have unique minds that view things individually based on many factors; intellect, life experience, family, teachings, values, relationships and more. There is no absolute. The only consistent is our gut. We get that feeling, right or wrong. What we do with it is our decision but many things in life just happen. So is it meant to be or what? Then you will ask why me? Too many questions.

Some people go through life without ever experiencing an “ah-ah” moment without a pat on the back, without an acknowledgement, without receiving a “good work,” or efforts going unnoticed by the world at large. These people continue, in life, doing right, taking the high road. Their lives might be easier if they take a simpler path but they follow an internal code. Then there are those who keep at it and it seems an endless series of the world shouting, “NO” to you.

More often than not it’s not always the most talented, smartest or the most decent or more deserving who get appreciated. Sometimes the ones who hardly try get the most and other times some don’t break a sweat seem to get ahead and those who seem to have less morals than others really thrive.

But why keep trying when it seems a futile existence? Yes, maybe at some point in your life you may just once “win” but what if you don’t and die without ever once experiencing that time when the Angels sing then why continue?

I believe we live in constant struggle from making decisions about whether to satisfy our Earth Life vs. our Soul Life.

There are real reasons and an actual plan for each of us. It would be nice to have some indication of this plan but it seems to have been decided upon on another plane before we took this life. There will be more forthcoming articles and a book about finding out about your Soul. Just know you have been validated. If life has ignored you your Soul has not been.
