Unique Green Ideas

The Ventless Gel Fuel of a portable ventless fireplace is light years ahead of other fireplace alternatives when it comes to being eco-friendly. It has increasingly become the leading alternative to traditional fireplaces as well because of the sheer magnum of pollution that traditional fireplaces put in the air and the damage they cause to homes. So, being Green has been a concern of Ventless Gel Fireplace for years.

So, let’s discuss some unique green ideas that we all can practice in addition to ones we might already know. Turning off the lights when you leave the room and shutting off the water while brushing your teeth can save a huge amount of resources. Of course, these are the common solutions that we’ve all encouraged others to follow. Here are some new ideas that we should consider.

Double Sided

I have no idea why we all are still printing documents on only one side of the sheet of paper. If we printed business reports and papers on both sides of our documents, we would be able to cut down how much paper we use literally in half. The person or group of people who came up with the idea to print on only one side of the sheet of paper had no idea or no concern for what that could do to our environment.

Lighten the Load

You should remove unnecessary items from your car. The more you lighten the load, the more gas you save while driving. If you have a full trunk that is loaded with tons of trash you’ll never use, you are only wasting your gas money toting around useless guests. Get rid of them!

Unplug

If you look around your home, you’ll probably find a handful of electronics that are plugged in and you never use them. If they are newer electronics, they are draining your electric usage just like the electronics you actually use. Unplug the coffee maker, the cell phone charger and the VCR in the guest bedroom. You’ll be surprised how much money you’ll save on electric.

Go Local

As much as you can, purchase locally produced foods. It shows support for your local economy. But also, it cuts down on the amount of travel and resources that are used to get food to your home. Normally, food sees truck after truck over a twelve hundred mile trek before it makes it to your door.

Those are just a few ideas and I will always try to find new ways to keep the Earth Green. There are plenty of in-tune people in this world sharing ideas with the rest of us and helping us stay aware of whatever we can do to help. So if I hear of some more ideas, I’ll be sure to let you know.
