Wellcraft calls this 24 four long sport cruiser the flagship of their Fisherman line of boats and it’s easy to see why. Like most Wellcraft products this boat is packed with great features. Most of them designed to make your fishing trip a really fun and comfortable experience. One of the best is the self contained head which people on long trips will really appreciate. Another great feature is the canvas t-top that provides extra rod holders as well as protection from the sun and precipitation.

The cockpit comes with a removable 94 cooler, a raw water wash down and a big recirculating bait well. Like a lot of Wellcraft products there are two large fish boxes provided to store your catch. There are also port and starboard mounted rod holders on the gunwale. This makes the 282 Fisherman perfect for those Florida fishing trips.

To help you find the fish or your way home at the end of the day there is an optional Raymarine C-80 electronics package. This contains a combination cart plotter and fish finder with a 4.8 inch screen. Radar can easily be installed in this unit if a person wants. A stereo system with Sirius satellite radio is also available.

A swim platform with a boarding ladder is included in the standard package. For swimmers and divers a heavy duty dive ladder is available. For water sport lovers Taco Grand Slam outriggers with 15 foot poles are also available. To enhance comfort there is also an optional eight gallon freshwater system with a shower. The optional Sealand Traveler Head comes with a nine gallon holding tank and dockside pump out option.

Like most Wellcraft products the Fisherman 252 comes with lots of engine options. Fourteen different packages are available for the Fisherman 252 from three different companies. Seven Evinrude T-Tec packages are available alone. Three Mercury Verado Four Stroke engines and four Yamaha Folk Stroke engines are also available. This makes for a lot of horsepower options for one model of boat.

The 252 Fisherman offers boat owners a lot of potential horsepower with these engines 450 to be exact. Like most Wellcraft it also has a lot of fuel capacity available for those long fishing trips in the form of a 180 gallon fuel tank.
